Workshop Description
This interactive workshop will introduce and help attendees understand the framework of the 40 Developmental Assets and how it is an important lens through which we should view how we engage with youth in our communities. A combination of research findings, personal story telling and activities will bring participants to an understanding of using a strength based approach to youth engagement, the general characteristics of effective asset builders, the concept of "circles of influence" and aid them in identifying the circles in which they have the greatest potential for personal asset-building impact.

Workshop Facilitator - Mike Kent, Ripple Effect Consulting, Inc
Mike is an experiential educator, facilitator, consultant, outdoor leader and youth worker.
